Coachella. Estes últimos tempos não tenho visto outra coisa na net. E o que é o Coachella, perguntam vocês? Eu explico.
O Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, ou como é normalmente chamado, Coachella, ou mesmo Chella, é, como o próprio nome indica, um festival anual de música e de arte. Realiza-se no Empire Polo Club, em Indio, Califórnia, localizado no Coachella Valley da Inland Empire, no deserto de Colorado. Foi fundado por Paul Tollet em 1999 e é organizado pela Goldenvoice.
Coachella. Lately, I've been overwhelmed by this on the internet. And what's Coachella, you ask? I explain.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, commonly referred to as Coachella or even Chella, is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, located in the Inland Empire's Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. It was founded by Paul Tollett in 1999 and is organized by Goldenvoice.
O evento reúne diversos géneros de música como rock, indie, hip hop, música eletrónica, como também apresenta instalações artÃsticas e esculturas. A arte principalmente a nÃvel visual e interativo. Aqui vos mostro algumas das muitas instalações:

Enquanto a princÃpio o festival tinha uma duração de 2/3 dias, a partir de 2011 passou a decorrer em dois fins-de-semana seguidos em Abril, com programas idênticos.
O Chella já teve grandes nomes da música ao longo dos anos como: AC/DC, Amy Winehouse, Dr. Dre com o Snoop Dogg, Prince, Paul McCartney, Arcade Fire, Wu-Tang Clan, The Killers, Of Monsters and Men, Radiohead, Daft Punk, Madonna, The Cure, Kanye West, Eminem, Gorillaz, The Black Keys, Rage Against the Machine, Beck, The Strokes, The White Stripes, Jay-Z, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, entre muitos muitos outros, sim, porque atualmente são dezenas e dezenas os artistas que nele participam. É o segundo maior festival do mundo depois do famoso Tomorrowland.
Este ano, as cabeças de cartaz são AC/DC, Jack White e Drake, nos fins-de-semana de 10 a 12 (o passado) e de 17 a 19 (este) de Abril.

While the festival began with a duration of 2 or 3 days, from 2011 onwards it began to happen in two consecutive weekends in April, with identical lineups.
The Chella featured some of the biggest names in the music industry over the years such as: AC/DC, Amy Winehouse, Dr. Dre feat. It is the world's second largest festival after the famous Tomorrowland.
This year, the headliners are AC/DC, Jack White e Drake, in the weekends of 10 to 12 (the past one) and the 17 to 19 (this one) April.
